3rd/4th Place Play-offs are not normally memorable occasions and this was no exception! John and Steve played out a closely fought game, but one ultimately lacking in flair or tension!.

Perhaps this is a little unfair, as the onlookers were both preparing mentally for the final to come and may not have had their minds totally on the game - unfortunate when the pair of them were also refereeing!

The game was notable in that John finally started to play some decent football at last. Both teams had some good possession but Steve defended John's attacks well and the Moroccan marksmanship often left something to be desired.

Steve scored the only goal of the game and just about deserved the 1-0 victory to take third place this time out.

If the two participants have anything to add about the game, I'd be more than glad to receive correspondence! As it is, there's no way I can say anything more complimentary about this game, so we'll stick a banner at the bottom to fill up some of the yawning space resulting from a total lack of incident!
